Accounts
Authentication
People sign in with an email link. API calls use a bearer key. An unverified email cannot use the dashboard or a key.
Dashboard
Sign in with an email address. Submitting a valid email stores an account and sends one message with a verification link. Opening that link verifies the address, sets a session cookie named dt_session, and opens the dashboard. Until the link is opened, the account cannot create keys or call the API. There is no password and no Google sign-in. Sign-in does not record acceptance of the Terms of Service or Privacy Policy. Those drafts are not in effect.
API requests
Create a key in the dashboard after the email is verified. Send it as a bearer token in the Authorization header to POST /api/screenshots on this website. The full secret is shown once. DataTuber stores a hash and a short prefix. Revoke a key from the same page. api.datatuber.com is not serving this API. Do not put a real key in the example calls on this site.
Limits
A verified free-beta workspace can take 100 screenshots in a UTC month and 6 requests in a minute. The public homepage demo, which sends no key, allows 5 captures an hour for a hashed IP. Every capture also waits for a shared 11 second gap.
